About the Founder
Mary E. Banks is the founder and president of Women of Wisdom Consulting Group. Rich in real world financial services experience and life at large, Mary is a dynamic speaker and motivator, an effective trainer and a published author. She uses practical advice laced with humor and stories to create memorable and content-rich presentations, as well as customized materials that guarantee results. She has been in demand as a consultant and speaker since beginning her consulting practice. Formerly a corporate executive, achieving success in the field of human resources, she enjoys vast experience and broad knowledge of human behavior, leadership development and teambuilding. Using life experiences as her research, Mary has developed presentations for diverse audiences, that have earned her the highest praise from her clients where she has delivered entertaining talks on living life more fully, expressing your faith at work, resolving conflict, and building the best teams.

Mary founded W.O.W. Consulting Group in 2003 with a specific focus on coaching women in leadership. Her practice has expanded to include human resources consulting, teambuilding, and conflict resolution.

She is the past President of the HR Houston professional group, past Chair of the Texas Commission on Human Rights, author of ‘The Multi-Faceted Woman’ and ‘Living by Faith: 9 to 5’ as well as an instructor at the prestigious Rice University in Houston, Texas. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Management. She is also certified at the SPHR (senior professional in human resources) level.

She has won numerous professional and civic awards and currently serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Mary and her husband Melvin are on the teaching team at Lakewood Church and with their daughter live in Houston, Texas.
