Welcome

I have some exceptional friends who influence culture by influencing individuals. My friend Katie has been encouraging, both physically and spiritually, young women who are facing unwanted pregnancies. Mike moved into an inner-city neighborhood so he could find ways to reach those trapped in poverty. Diane meets with women who've been emotionally wounded to help them get back on their feet in practical ways. Shirley babysits for couples so they can get away together. Kyle tutors at-risk students who need extra help.

All of these people have helped me learn what it means to live for the kingdom of God in our culture. To explore this idea further, we've put together a 13-session course called Kingdom Living in Our Culture. Use this study in your Sunday school class or small group to examine what it means to live for Christ in our society.

Also new this week:

Fasting: do people still do it?
Two studies for men: Turning Temptation into Obedience and A Legacy of Spiritual Fortitude.
May God use you to affect those around you.

Blessings,
